Long time since the last update.

The Fort Worth Community Arts Center is once again hosting the Texas Artists Coalition jurored show. Last years show was a huge success, and this year’s looks to be just as much so!

The show, jurored by Kevin Vogel, runs from August 7 until October.

Come out and see Amye’s latest work alongside dozens of other Texas artists.

The HOUSTON CENTER for CONTEMPORARY CRAFT starts the Craft Texas 2008 Show tomorrow. The show runs from May 24 through August 17, 2008. Amye is among the artists shown in this year’s show.

Juror Jane Sauer described the entries for CraftTexas 2008 as ‘the strongest body of work that I have ever seen in a regional show—truly amazing and outstanding.’

It’s a new year, and changes are in the wind.  There is a friend site or 2 that is changing, and more will be added.  This much we know.

Amye’s working away on a couple of new pieces, but real life continually gets in the way for both of us.  For me, it’s implementing the “Works for Sale”.  I need to sit down with her to clarify what needs to be where.

Now, on to the latest update:
A “Works for Sale” page is coming. Pieces that are not for sale at either KINETIC ART WORKS or WEBB GALLERY will be listed HERE very soon!

Well, it’s finally done!  It’s taken quite a bit of effort getting everything to work properly; to get things looking just right; to fit the artist for whom this site was created.

As it stands, I think we’ve done that.

The old site looked really, really good.  But it was a pain in the butt to upgrade, update, and maintain.  The new site’s functionality is much better.  We can now update artwork actively as we see fit.

There are a few new things to note, so please take advantage of them:

Galleries:  We have several, based on “themes”.  More like based on the media.  By default, the galleries will show in slideshows.  You can also click on the gallery name to see a series of thumbnails representing all the works.

Friends Sites:  On the left, you’ll see “Respected Sites”.  Please click on those and visit those sites.  They vary widely from game companies to art galleries and dealers.  They’re people we know, and people we like.  We want to see them succeed.  Please, give them a look.

Also on the left is a place to REGISTER.  If you’re interested in Amye’s artwork, or are a long-lost friend, please JOIN UP and drop us a line.  We will send out periodic updates to members as well.
